Are you using Flickr yet? Why not? What’s your damage, Heather?

Flickr is, frankly, the best photo site out there. If you take digital pictures, if you share digital pictures, if you like photography, if you just like seeing snapshots of life around the world, then you should be using Flickr. Of course, maybe you’re just not ready for Flickr (insert “Bootylicious” lyrics here – Kelly! Can you handle this?! Beyoncé! Can you handle this?!). Maybe you don’t care enough about your photos. Maybe you’re satisfied with the slow, slow interface of Ofoto. Maybe you’re not interested in better, more intuitive ways of working with your images.

Nah. You’re a Mirandala.org reader – therefore you think big. You’re ahead of the curve. You rock. So Flickr is for you.

Did I mention that you can get an account for free? And that if you buy now, you can get a pro account? Did I mention that Flickr doesn’t measure how many photos you upload? Only the bandwidth required to upload them. You can also post to Flickr from your cameraphone. And once your photos are on Flickr, you can organize them, tag & annotate them, and share them.

Did I mention that if you get a Pro account you have a 1 gig upload limit and unlimited storage?

Honestly. Why are you not using Flickr?

You might want to check Buzznet, which has the same features as the ones you hilight, plus great community features (band galleries, etc.). And there is no limitations to the Pro account.

PS: I work with these guys, so I have a natural bias :-). But reading your blog, I thought that you might like the community aspect.

This is why I love Mirandala– timely useful information. I’ve just been struggling with how to share photos over the internet with friends and loved ones. Can a non-techie like me even use this??

Aaww, I just signed up at Photobucket a few days ago, and now you’re making me want a Flickr account. Too many choices, too many choices.
