We Eat Ham and Jam and Spam a Lot.

Search for the Holy Grail! Yay!! So, our good friend (and lighting electrician) Karen just got a job on the crew of Spamalot, the stage musical version of Monty Python’s Search for the Holy Grail. We here at are very excited by this as it means that Karen will be here in Chicago for the better part of October – January as Spamalot is doing its pre-Broadway tryout in Chicago at the Schubert Theater.

We have high hopes for this show – Search for the Holy Grail is one of our favorite movies of all time (in geekier moments, we might even admit to being able to quote at length from the script). David Hyde Pierce (Sir Robin the Not-So-Brave), Tim Curry (King Arthur), and Hank Azaria (Sir Lancelot) have already signed on to the cast. Mike Nichols is directing. Eric Idle (of the original Monty Python troupe) is developing the project for the stage. It all sounds very good. Especially the part where Karen gets to come for an extended, all-expense-paid visit to Chicago.

Come and see the violence inherent in the system! Help! Help! I’m being repressed! (sorry – couldn’t hold in the geekiness for a moment there)
