You Get What You Pay For

Now I enjoy a bargain as much as the next person. Although I like to think of myself as a generous person, I can be rather frugal when dealing with myself. I almost never pay full price for any clothing, particularly for ‘professional’ clothes. Talbots outlet all the way! But I have learned the hard way that I need to loosen the purse strings for certain items. Not the least of which are SUNGLASSES and SHOES. Any time I’ve tried to get a bargain or try sunglasses from the drug store I’ve gotten hosed. You totally get what you pay for. I wear sunglasses all the time whether sunny or not—if it’s daytime, it’s usually bright enough for me to need them, or at least be incognito walking around or taking the bus. So I wanted the special sport lenses with constrast for biking or playing team sports. But my main goal was I didn’t want to look like a bug or Plastic Man. I chose the Lance Armstrong Oakleys which provide great constrast. I was floored when I put them on outside. Here’s hoping they aren’t stepped on like my Duran Duran Hungry Like the Wolf-esque ones were in 1984.
