Now They Sound Tired But They Don?t Sound Haggard

Okay, please watch or program your VCRs and TiVo’s to check out the Chicks on PrimeTime Live this evening so we can put this issue to rest.

We all know what happened and they DO regret the incident and they DO support the troops.

Diane Sawyer?s hour-long interview with the trio — including sisters Martie Maguire and Emily Robison — airs Thursday (April 24) at 10 p.m. ET on ABC?s Primetime Thursday. On Wednesday (April 23), ABC released a partial transcript of the interview.

This should hopefully put a fork in this issue…and just in time for the kick-off of the Top of the World tour on May 1st.

***Staff note: ER is a new episode this evening and this is what happens:

PSYCHOTIC PATIENT ENDANGERS ABBY WHILE ROMANO WREAKS HAVOC IN THE E.R. — Abby (Maura Tierney) is threatened by an over-medicated psychotic patient (guest star Johnny Sneed) and gets an update regarding her missing brother (guest star Thomas Everett Scott). Elsewhere, Dr. Romano (Paul McCrane) continues to make rash judgments — and enemies — when he orders a man with a severe sore throat to be released and then tries to perform surgery in the emergency room. Dr. Kovac (Goran Visnjic) welcomes a old friend (guest star Nina Sablich) — a fellow Croatian doctor — to observe the chaos of an American inner-city hospital. Carter also receives some emotional news from home as he guides a group of eager medical students who witness him refuse to give up trying to save a cardiac-arrested patient. Laura Innes, Alex Kingston, Ming-Na, Sherry Stringfield, Sharif Atkins and Mekhi Phifer also star. TV-14

Yay Chicks! Now, if we can only get them to ease up on the nude magazine covers and videos…

For anyone that’s interested—just checked Walgreen’s—this issue isn’t on the stands yet.

When it’s released, I know this one will Fly (no pun intended, you chicks fans) off the shelves…let’s hope it gets more left-leaning people to notice the good things about country music…

Yay to the Dixie Chicks! I was worried that they had caved in to the criticism, but obviously my fears were unfounded. The cover of Entertainment Weekly is certainly not that of good girls who are repenting for speaking out.

That said, I missed Prime Time Live. Any highlights anybody could share?

    Hi Kell!

I did watch PrimeTime—they all cried multiple times (mainly because of the personal attacks), but they DID stick to their guns…they certainly regret the incident (Natalie admitted she didn’t think before she spoke), but she doesn’t apologize for voicing her opinion. You would have been proud of them! I’ll send you a tape!

    Check out:

to see real support from Bruce Springsteen…
